Art can illuminate our inner lives and enrich our emotional world. Art also has a measurable impact on our economy, health and well-being, society and education. The true impact of art hasn't yet been seen in Tanzania. Local artists struggle to show their creativity, contribute to the society and demonstrate the impact of their work. Artivation is a startup NGO that will create an innovative website that will address the problems by being a platform: for artists to easily display their work; that provides a search engine for buyers, funds and job opportunities; functions as a centre of education for people who want to expand their artistic capabilities and for people who want to become artists. Our intention is to provide employment to overcome poverty through art, elevating Zanzibar to become a global contributor to arts and crafts, creating a boom of entrepreneurs, and using art to give back to the society.
