As someone who had trouble finding the right specialist for a health problem, I want to use SMS mobile technology to link health experts (doctors and specialists) to people who need care, especially in the rural areas, so that Tanzanians can connect with the health services they need quickly and easily.

My solution is a mobile-based solution to link health experts (doctors and specialists) to people at the “base of the pyramid” while at the same time studying trends and patterns of growth of noncommunicable diseases. The whole system will be supported by USSD, SMS, and internet technology. People will access the solution using their mobile phones by dialling a certain short code and receive further details. We expect the details of the experts (doctors and specialists) (e.g. name, location, specialization) to be sent via SMS.
