Rate My School application
Hussein Juma Kiranga
According to PO RALG education reports, school dropout rates have reached 10% on average. I want to use an online platform to generate real-time data on students’ school attendance so that we can enhance follow up and undertake necessary actions to minimize dropouts.

Decrease early school dropouts that limit opportunities for AGYW
We are introducing an online application called Rate My School that will provide real-time data on students’ attendance and school performance. The platform will also share information on schools’ environment (i.e. quality of building, toilets, student-teacher ratios, and more). The idea is not only to inform but also encourage different actors (i.e. councilors, members of parliament, school boards, school management, research organization, civil society organization, teachers, parents and the entire community) to take necessary actions to address school dropouts. Community engagement will not only minimize dropouts among girls but will also reduce unwanted pregnancies and lower risks of HIV infections.
