Niokoe is an electronic system to analyze and visualize substance abuse data relevant to community-level decision-makers. The system will incorporate a database from the existing system(s) used for collecting and storing drug abuse data from multiple sources (such as NGOs/CBOs, rehabilitation centers, and health facilities), and use data to improve efficiency of efforts to target HIV/AIDS prevention, testing, and treatment services, especially to people using injection drugs. Other features in the system will include:1. A comprehensive curriculum module on substance abuse in both primary and post primary schools seeking to enlighten students and neutralize the influence of peer, media pressure in influencing students into substance abuse. We will seek the Ministry of Education, Technology and Vocational Training (MOEVT) accreditation.2. Hotlines to enable the public access to Medical Assisted Treatment (MAT) services across the country.3. Mobile rehabilitation services specifically for students who are substance abusers so as to help them continue with their education while undergoing rehabilitation.
